Advocating for Ontario's Sheep Industry

Ontario Sheep Farmers (OSF) is committed to representing and advancing the interests of the province’s growing sheep farming community. Advocacy is central to OSF’s mission, ensuring the voices of sheep farmers are heard by government officials, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the public. Through collaboration with all levels of government and agricultural partners, OSF influences policies and addresses matters concerning guardian dogs, agrivoltaics, deadstock, government programming and funding and more.

OSF focuses on securing fair access to resources, fostering sustainable practices, and enhancing food safety, traceability, and animal health. The organization also champions research, innovation, and market development to keep Ontario’s sheep farmers competitive.

By sharing success stories, raising awareness, and engaging with the public, OSF highlights the industry’s significance in Ontario’s agricultural sector. These efforts strengthen connections between farmers, consumers, and the broader community while ensuring a resilient future for the sheep industry.
